Are the novels must-reads? I'm asking 'cause I'm reading the comics and one of the operations (Red Panda) takes place between two of the novels. Can I read the comics without reading the novels? And if I do, will I be spoiled if I want to read the novels later on?

Will concirm this answer this later tonight.
The novels are great. One fits in and should be read between 30 and 31 or ao, they other take place after the end of the series at 32.

You HAVE to read the novel. The comics will spoil the first one if you don't and also, you'll be missing KEY developpment in Tara's character.
The books are great anyway.

Good to know.
That's the primary reason I stopped reading Queen & Country. I've got the novels but didn't know how important they were. Once I finish reading "Terror" by Dan Simmons, I'll start reading the Q&C novels
