The first storyline of the WW relaunch wasn't as bad or confusing as people warned me about. I'm sure I didn't view it as bad because I read it all in one sitting rather than to have to wait 1-2.5 years for Heinberg to finish his story. The art was phenomenal. The Dodsons art was beautiful and their depictions of the main characters were great without being too cheesecakey.

The story itself was pretty simple and straightforward: After killing Maxie Lord, WW didn't know who she was anymore, and like Bruce, left to find herself and re-emerged in the persona of Diana Prince, Special Agent in the Meta-Human Affairs Department. However, there was some fallout between Wondy, Donna Troy and Wonder Girl. Both DT & WG felt abandoned by Wondy, and throughout the course of the story they patched things up between them and help Wonder Woman get a few steps closer to finding out who she really is.

A fine story and though the premise wasn't anything groundbreaking it fit the tone of the relaunch as well as the ending of IC.

I suppose it's probably better read as a whole, but when that last issue came out it was, like you said, over a year from when the second to last issue had come about and reading it wasn't as enjoyable as if it'd been at whole.

Glad you enjoyed it though, and hopefully you enjoy yourself as you read the next few volumes.
