Trinity War

Post by Mr Wallstreet »

Taking a cue from Marvel's Avengers vs. X-Men, DC just released the promo for "Trinity War" where various DC heroes are shown bombastically punching the shit out of each other.

And who says there are no good ideas left...

Thoughts?

Doubtful. In the 80s you had various groundbreaking stories: COIE, Watchmen, Secret Wars, DKR, Y1, V for Vendetta, (Dark) Phoenix Saga, Days of Future Past - hell all of Claremonts UXM run, Miller's Daredevil run, Sandman, Swamp Thing, Furman's Transformers run.

While not all of them may were original ideas, they certainley had loads more quality in one story than any 2 or 3 of Marvel's or DC's mega events combined; and they also weren't churned out at the speed of light to meet the yearly mega event quota.
