1. That's Cassady? Is it just me or does that look shitty as fuck? Seriously he has done much much much much better work.
2. I'm still holding that it's a fuck over. Remember Astonishing's teaser for the big return in issue 4, with a giant Phoenix Cover? I'm hoping Marvel is doing that all over again. And even though they're probably not, I'm hoping for it.
3. Seriously, tell me that cover doesn't suck. The face is just all wrong to me.
The art didn't help. Thumbed through it on Satuday and it was as bad as the online images I saw. Most of the issue wasn't bad but his actual death scene was terrible.
I didn't read the whole thing but I'm sure that had a factor in it too.
