Daredevil omnibus

Spidey, Wolvie, X-men, Captain America, The Hulk, Fantastic Four... you get the idea.

Daredevil omnibus

Post by MGM »

This collects #16-19 & #26-50 & #56-60. But what about #61-81? Those are Bendis material as well, anyone know if there'll be a second omnibus collecting that work? Because Amazon lists a Bru/Lark omnibus for May and I doubt that will collect Bendis' issues.

Bendis doesn't start on DD till 26, so the beginning issue are not him either.

I know, that is the Echo arc, which is somewhat relevant later in Bendis' run. But my question is: will the rest be collected in another omnibus?

Yeah, I looked, it was Bendis and Mack.

Bendis and Maleev start with issue 26.

The Bru/Lark omnibus will collect 82-105, BTW. And this is where it gets strange. The gap. Bru starts with DD in prison, but the Bendis omnibus doesn't encompass the arcs that got DD in prison. There's no one here who knows what they'll do with that?

That damn sucks. Didn't you collect the book in singles, though?

Also, 16-19 are written by Bendis.

Also, David Mack's Echo arc was a boring pile of nonsensical shit.

No, I'm downloading it. I might wanna catch the TPB's if there's no omnibus collecting everything.

Anybody else was a little bored towards the end of Bendis run? It felt like it was the same storyline over and over.
It's kinda like what's happening with Bru's run at the moment.

I'm not sure what actually happened to the end. The final arc was very good, but what led to that?

I don't really remember but I know that right now they are advertising the upcoming return of the Kingpin to the DD book and I feel like "What's the big deal? Doesn't he come back every year and a half?".

Pretty much what I thought.

Daredevil has been close to the chopping block for a long time now.

I think I keep buying cause I want to believe it will deliver big time somewhere down the line, that it has too when you consider the creators involved.

And the question is, why not just pick up the storyarc when the payoff is supposed to happen? That way you don't need to read all this filler crap.

But how do I know which arc is going to be the payoff one? How?

That would feel like Brubaker failed. :(

He kind of has on DD, especially when compared to Criminal, Incognito and Captain America.

That it did, but he started with an awesome set up from Bendis.

That's not wrong. But even Bendis run had its flaws.
