Hawkeye

Post by Stocky Boy »

Who's reading this?

So far, we have been introduced afresh to Hawkeye. This is a book about one of the truly non-powered Avengers. How does this guy get through the day?
He's pretty normal, aimless but resourceful and useful. He lives in an apartment block with with people who know who he is and often goes up to the roof top with them for a BBQ.
Supporting cast member, Kate (Hawkeye) Bishop provides support as the classic, side kick who is more with it that the main character. In a sense, providing a mother figure for the grown adult and also showing a great deal of admiration for an individual that seems to be to and froing between contentment and depression. There is a lot of fun to be had with this book and the art style is very unique. A lot gets done with a very limited colour palette.

HAWKEYE #10

Writer: Matt Fraction
Artist: (Normally David Aja)

Issue 10 is a part one and a good jumping on point.
A new villain is in town and the introduction to this villain gives you a sense of sympathy for him, an understanding that he is a considerable match for Hawkeye and is rather ruthless. Oh and thanks to the way he's introduced, he also has a connection with Kate, but no one appears to be any the wiser of their connections.

This is an awesome book. And Kate's even more awesome. Ever since her introduction.
