Daredevil Question

So, I was reading the new Daredevil series.
He mentioned that he had been possessed and that's why he had done all the crazy stuff like shadowland?
Can anyone elaborate on that for me? It seems incredulous.
Did Marvel real retcon that whole story with what amounts to another "it's magic, bitches!"?

Wasn't that the whole point of Shadowland, that he was possessed? As far as I know this is no retcon, but the actual story. Also, the DD series made this much clearer than de Shadowland mini.

Yeah, Murdoch was possessed by the Beast of the Hand, which is why he turned out the way he did in Shadowland.
It's not a retcon. That's how the story was explained.

I haven't read all of Shadowland yet but I read the arc leading up to it. It got a bit hokey, that's for sure.

Oh, right, that was Diggle. Surprised it was that bad, but I did just read Six Gins from Marvel, and that was bad.
I wonder if he just isn't that good at work-for-hire?
