I'm enjoying it so far. It's definitely not a re-tread of what Ennis did on his Marvel Knights run or his PunisherMAX run - which is a great relief. Replicating what Ennis did would, at best, be a pale imitation. Rucka's Punny has an entirely different tone both story and art wise, in fact it feels a little bit like a procedural cop show with elements taken from Gotham Central.
While Frank is now back in the mainstream Marvel U, he's not in the thick of it with all the supervillains but that may be subject to change given the end of issue two. I really hope Rucka handles this right because I've grown used to seeing Frank as a guy who doesn't have a rogues gallery and isn't fighting brightly colored villains on a monthly basis. Also, Rucka's Punisher, if I'm not mistaken, hasn't said one word since the title kicked off.
How is everyone else liking the new Punisher title so far?

How is everyone liking Punisher after the latest issue.
I had serious reservations about the way Rucka was writing Frank, especially after the first few issues but I think I may finally be coming around to understanding how Rucka is writing Frank.
To me, it seems like Rucka's take on Frank seems to that he operates long-term operations before going in for the kill, like the way the FBI investigates a syndicatefor months and months before making a move. The timeline in Punisher shows that it'd been nearly a year since the first issue and Frank was still killing members of the organization that caused the Wedding day massacre so it seems Frank is still working his way up in the organization.
Anyone else still enjoying it or thinking of dropping it?

For some reason I'm just not feeling it. I'll download the next couple of issues and if I enjoy it more again, I'll pick up the backissues. But right now, it's just always on top of my read-pile. Which means I anticipate reading it the least. Perhaps I should read the issues in one read.wolf_2099 wrote:Why are you cutting in?
