Marvel for February 2010

Post by XIII »

Sorry for the delay

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... e&id=23740

Usual stuff I'm getting :

DAREDEVIL #505
SECRET WARRIORS #13
WOLVERINE WEAPON X #10
PUNISHERMAX #4
POWERS #4
CRIMINAL: The Sinners #5
GHOST RIDERS: HEAVEN'S ON FIRE TPB

New stuff and TPBs for this month :

INVINCIBLE IRON MAN VOL. 1 HC

This one collects all of Invicible Iron Man from #1 to #19. I've read all over the place that it's a great read so I'll give it a try. Though I have yet to find a Matt Fraction comics I've really enjoyed. Except maybe those Thor one-shots.

NEXTWAVE: AGENTS OF H.A.T.E. ULTIMATE COLLECTION TPB
I hear this one is outrageous.

I knew it! I fucking knew it! No I regret buying the individual trades but I wasn't sure if they'd release an ultimate/complete collection...Assholes.

My list:
DareDevil #505
Uncanny X-Men #521
X-Men Legacy #233

As I was scrolling down Marvel's list ther wasn't much that made me want to add it to my list. The X-books are a mess, in my opinion, and I refuse to even touch the Spider-books out of principle. Don't really care for the video game based books anymore or the novel adaptations.

On a side note, I haven't so much as touched an Ultimate title in about 4-5 months; Ult X-Men really went down in quality after the 60s. It picked up here and there, but it wasn't as great as it was. I also don't know what went down with the whole Ultimate War thing or whatever it was, but I'm not too concerned by it. I am not touching Loeb's Ultimates with a 10 foot pole, but I will continue to pick up Ult Spider-man. It's still pretty enjoyable.

The only other massive trade I'd be thinking of getting would be The Captain America Omnibus that collects the entire run and ends with his death.

I'm on the fence about Jason Aaron's Ghost Rider

REALM OF KINGS: IMPERIAL GUARD #4 (of 5)
REALM OF KINGS: INHUMANS #4 (of 5)
ASTONISHING X-MEN #34
UNCANNY X-MEN #521
X-MEN LEGACY #233

I also may pick up NATION X #3 (of 4) depending on what I think of the first issue. RoK: Imperial Guard is still subject to getting dropped since I wasn't a big fan of the art in issue 1, but I really like the notion of Gladiator ruling the Shi'ar so I'll see where they go with that.
