Swap Meet!

I know Arn, Wally and Myself have found a few comics for each other as the months pass.

I was wondering if anyone had any interest in having to find a thread for asking for help to trying to find comics or trades you just cannot find, ir maybe if your local CBS is having a huge sale for comics you could let others know if they are looking for something.

I know I don't mind asking my normal comic books guys to see if they have books, and shipping a comic is fairly cheap, and I think most of us even have paypal accounts if need be.

Thoughts?

It's definitely helpful. meek? and I helped each other out with a few books once and it completed a collection of mine. I'll definitely keep my eyes open whenever I can. My shop back home has a much better back issue selection than here so when I'm there I'll check things I can for people.

I remember years ago I helped out Ami at Wizard World with some stuff, but in all honesty I'm actually getting tired of collecting old issues. My dad has a huge collection of all modern comics I'm interested in, so for our joint collection the main thing we're missing are variants and issues from the 60s it seems, lol. I've grown tired of trying to search for that old elusive issue when I started downloading them, so really all I care about now is comics out in the coming weeks. Trades though could be helpful, I am looking for a few OOP Sandman trades so my collection can match...

I'm all up for it although my comics shop doesn't much back issues or mostly generic stuff you won't be looking for so I don't think I can help you much to find stuff but I'll do my best each time.

I'm game for this - and to be honest its always a little fun to go scavenging for back issues. Most times I can usually find the books people are looking for as long as they are not super rare.

So I guess it might work.

Any of you guys trying to hunt anything down at the moment?

I'm hunting down a good mortgage to buy my flat, does that count?

Sorry, seriously, not looking for anything at the moment.

Hey guys, I'm going to Paris in 2 weeks. I'll visit the comics shops there.
Anything you want me to look for, just in case?

I only need 1 comic, but it's really hard to find, so I'm good here, but thanks for offering.

Is it Selina's Big Score? Or did you find that one?

I pick up trades more than anything these days. >.< After moving the comics a couple times (and once over the border - they got us pulled in and grilled!) I'm not buying loose comics until my name's on a mortgage (aka, I won't be moving again for a while).

I'm only hunting for two things at the mo'... the 6th volume of Concrete and the third hardcover of Runaways. If it exists. Which I doubt. Bastards.

***

On a different note, I know a couple people that need to have comics sent to them cuz they're too cheap or lazy to do it themselves (Brad comes to mind first). So... I might have to collect a few mailing addresses in the future.:e2flowers:

If it's out of stock at well knows sites like Amazon, you may want to try eBay.

I'm looking for Pizzeria Kamikaze. Evidently it's out of print and pretty rare, Amazon has it for like $30 or so which sucks. I tried to find it on torrent or DC++ but no luck there. I love the movie it was made into (Wristcutters: A Love Story) but have never seen the Graphic Novel and hope someone may be able to help me (be it physical or digital copy).

I don't think I've ever heard of that.

Say, wasn't there somebody here who wanted a copy of a DC Elseworld Batman book called "Gotham Noir" by Brubaker and Phillips? Cause the biggest comics store in France is now selling online and they have some copies of it. I'm definitely getting one for myself but I could get another one.

It's an Ed Brubaker/Sean Phillips batman elseworlds story.
