How are you enjoying Absolution, stocky?

I'm finding it rather very enjoyable. Nothing particularly new, but a fun exploration of the topic of extreme measures for iredeemable criminals that the justice system just doesn't deal with sufficiently.
I'm quite excited to see how it ends.
At the moment, I'm totally with the main character. As far as I'm concerned, there should be a global law, which is a compromise between his extreme methods and current western set ups. Basically, permanent incarceration for the scum the lead character's taking out.
The lead character wouldn't have to do what he's doing, if the law, in some way, dealt with these types of criminals sufficiently.

I always wonder how the guy going around killing people can actually justify to himself that he is the only one that needs to make the decision if they are going to kill him. It always seemed like a bit of a god complex to me.
I have absolutly have no idea how he will end it. I can't really see the main character living through the end of the series.
Christos Gage is a good writer, also an etremely nice guy. Got to spend a while chatting with him at NYCC.

I guess the thing with this book is they've purposely made the criminals clear cut iredeemable, thus making it easy to agree with the lead and avoid the obvious question, "what makes this guy capable of passing these extreme sentences in a fair way?".
I'm guessing Gage is really into this question.
The compromise would be to simply cut more severe sentences - permenant incarceration.
Yeah Gage was awesome. He signed my comics whilst waiting for the four panelists ahead of him to move.

Ha, yeah. I remember him being squeezed between 2 very busy guys on a panel and just looking bored. Poor guy.
Are you reading anything else by him?

Don't know. Can't remember much else of what he's written.
I think I've read a lot of one-shots by him. I read his Dynamite series for a while. The Clint Eastwood one. Stopped that after a while. Good, serviceable, but not to my taste.
I know I must have read more of his work though, because I wouldn't have picked up Absolution, if I didn't think Gage was a good writer.
Enlighten me!

Thunderbolts (right after Warren Ellis), Union Jack Mini, Man With No Name, Authority Prime, Iron Man 33-35, and that's all I have read.
For me it was the Man With No Name, good series, and I don't normally like westerns.

He's doing Avengers: The Initiative as well.
