Of all that, I'm getting Buffy and Ms. Marvel.
Also very interested in the Gillen/Wijngaard Thunderbolt comic and Stronghold (Hester/Kelly). No clue what Hester's written, but Ryan Kelly is always good. Oh, and Black Hammer, obviously.
Also sorta interested in the new Transformers comic. I'm reading the IDW-comics right now and it's ridicilous how good those runs are. Funny books about giant merchandise robots should never be this good, surprising and heartbreaking.
And while I'm a sucker for Al Ewing, count me out on that Avengers book. Not really interested (although I thought the same about his Ultimates and it was amazeballs).

There is Fight Club 3 that I've pre-ordered though I was considerably let down by Fight Club 2. But I'm weak so I caved...
The Stronghold book looks good but I'd rather buy that on digital.
Same with Black Hammer 45. I haven't read any Black Hammer book since the big reveal at the end of issue 4 or 5, can't remember. I need to buy them but the art of Rich Tommaso is not enticing.
The Willow Wilson book at Berger Comics is also something that could be interesting.
I see the article is part 1. Looking forward to part 2.

Re: Anticipated for 2019
Oh, Willow Wilson on the Karen Berger line? I missed that. That looks nice.
Re: Anticipated for 2019
Have you read any of them, the Berger Comics?
There is also the imprint of Shelley Bond at IDW, Black Crown I think it's called.
Haven't tried any of them but I suppose those comics should feel like the Vertigo books we used to like.

No, I haven't read any of those.
I wonder if anything'll be like Vertigo (in feel) again. Doubt it, since Image has a lot of good 'grown up' comics these days. That, and traditional superhero comics are a lot better written by now as well.

Avengers No Road Home and Stronghold are the ones that stand out to me.

Re: Anticipated for 2019
So far the things I know I'm adding this year include:
Black Widow
Invaders
Captain Marvel- first issue was a lot of fun
Buffy- eager to see how they add to the high school stories. So far the Firefly book at BOOM has been enjoyable, so hoping this one is too.
Avengers- No Road Home looks fun. I really liked No Surrender but not sure if they can repeat the success. I'm a bit worried it'll be like going from 52 to Countdown was. Still, I like Zub's work and hope this one delivers.

Ooooh, part 2:

Less interesting comics than the first list. Lazarus, obviously.
Haha, GLOW. I love that show, but I'm not grabbing a comic.

Lazarus, obviously indeed.
I think I'll get the Detective Comics 1000 for the milestone and the creatives look alright (I bought Action Comics 1000 and was let down but you never know).
I like Phillip Bond but the last times I bought comics on the strength of his name, I ended up owning crap stuff I'm never reading again because he couldn't draw the whole books so I'll pass on Eve Stranger.
Side note : who the hell is Tini Howard and did she/he end writing all the comics coming out in 2019?

Lazarus
Ascender for sure. I loved Descender.
I like Kelly Thompson but will skip Sabrina.
The Grand Abyss Hotel i may try.
My Favorite Thing Is Monsters Vol. 2 for sure. I have Vol 1 on my shelf and it supposed to be fantastic.
What’s the Furthest Place From Here - Absolutely! 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank was great.
Side Note: I have no who who Tini Howard is. Wrote some Hack/Slash and Ricky and Morty apparently.

Re: Anticipated for 2019
Futuristic science fiction about robot wars.
It's... Hard to explain. It's tied for my favorite Lemire work.
I have a soft spot for sci Fi though.

I'll look into it, I love me some good sci fi.
Re: Anticipated for 2019
I think I have most of Descender on Comixology, I'll get round to reading it at some point.
Re: Anticipated for 2019
Oooh, nice!
Re: Anticipated for 2019
What are those Uncanny X-Men things on the left?
Re: Anticipated for 2019
Oh, stone coasters I got either at a market or etsy.
Re: Anticipated for 2019
That's pretty cool.
Any chance you might have read Sara by Saturday so I know if it's worth buying at the shop?
