Huzzah for library TPBs. The Birmingham library had a nice shelf of comics. That's how I read Watchmen the first time.

Nice! I picked up Emperor Joker (from superman, I've read parts and it was cute so I want the whole story!) and some story about Israel, in comic form natch.

I was amazed they didnt have We3 or any Sandman. They have a shit ton of superman, but eww who wants superman?!

Next up is some more social commentary GNs.

Probably no We3 or Sandman cause those are Vertigo titles, and being a library and all they probably don't want a kid accidentally picking it up...

Not necessarily, though it is a possibility. I managed to get my high school library to get some Vertigo trades, though not many. They can get them in and just have them in a seperate section or on a higher shelf if that's their worry. I'd suggest asking if they are going to get other selections in like that, because often time they'll listen to what you're interested in and look into it.

I don't think libraries here carry TPB's. You lucky people, you. :(

Libraries in the U.S. have been carrying tpbs for some time now.

Chris, you have a point. School libraries (college) are way different and mine has Sandman and assorted Vertigo... This one had an Israeli tpb called "Exit Wounds" and there's sex in there so they do have adult themed ones. Interesting.

Anyway, I'm such a fucking nerd again! yay!
