Lots of fun at this one day mini comic con.
A few pros were there: Jim Steryanko, Joe Sinnott, Jim Cheung, Mark Texeria, George Perez, Neil Adams, Billy Tucci, Danny Fingeroth, Jason Quinones and a few more who I can't remember as well as another indie artists.
Lower tier Celebs were there as well: Brian O'Halloran, Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro, the Soup Nazi from that one episode of Seinfeld and highlight of the event: I got to take a picture with Larry Kenny the voice of Lion-O from the original Thundercats tv show. Ill post a picture later.
I also picked up a ton of back issues from the dollar bins.
I'd like to get something signed by Steryanko before he dies but didn't have anything on me at the time. Also, Steryanko was charging $10 for a signature. Does this put him in the Neal Adams category for dickery?
Two celebs who cancelled were Norman Reedus and WWE wrestler Roddy Roddy Piper. Reedus cancelled several weeks ago so it was no surprise. Piper, however, cancelled very last minute - which was a huge let down because a fair amount if people came just to see him and didn't even show. The unofficial story was that Piper as running late, and then eventually didn't even show.
