Neil Gaiman Reading this weekend

I got tickets to a reading Neil Gaiman is doing this weekend at the main branch of the New York Public Library. Gaiman will be reading A Christmas Carol.
I'm also going to try and get some books signed by Gaiman. However, there is no guarantee that Gaiman will sign anything at all or will even come down off the stage once he's done reading. It's a reading after all and not a signing. Given that, if anyone would like something signed by him I will try my best but I can't promise anything.
First dibs for getting something signed go to our sweet magnificent Stocky for scoring the awesome Alan Moore sigs. Anyone else after him is first come first serve.
I imagine the event will be heavily packed.

Have fun. Don't want anything signed.

Will his crazy girlfriend be there? She seems completely bonkers.

Why do you say she is bonkers?

The only Sandman I've got right now is Sandman 1 which I'm going to get for myself (if he decides to sign at all). I've got the issue of Batman he wrote with Andy Kubert I could try and get signed for you if you want

I'd even go with a copy of the new sandman overture that just came out if you're hitting up a comic store in the next few days.
Otherwise let me look into shipping.
I'm 50/50 of whether he is signing looking at the event listings though,

Yeah, I think I can grab a copy of Sandman Overture. That seems doable. I'll let you know what happens.
These are the details of the event. It's not a whole lot of information but worth a shot on the signing side.

I only found out about the event because Gaiman retweeted someone else who was going

Did you manage to snag a ticket?
This will be a really cool event either way,

Yup. Got my ticket 2 days ago. I just have to remember to print it out.

Event was fun but I was unable to get any signatures from Gaiman. After the reading was over, Gaiman said he would be unable to stay for signings & photos and promptly left.
Maybe next time.
Will try and post details of the reading soon.
