Gail Simone Leaving DC Comics

This happened the same week thar Karen Berger resigned from DC but it got buried in the headlines. It was announced that Simone would be leaving DC comics citing creative differences. Although the departure seemed to be amicable it seems Simone was none too happy with editorial. They scrapped her plans for BG next year and wanted to alter the endings of two of her current stories.

It's a shame because Simone has proven that she's a capable writer who can sustain respectable numbers. She brought WW back from purgatory after 52 and then she was kicked off to make way for JMS, who quit halfway through. Similarly, she brought Bop back from almost certain cancellation and was then removed from it. I honestly don't get DCs thinking.

I guess if you're not an uber super star like Lee, Johns or Snyder, DC will treat you like crap. Thats it. Rant over

Gail Simone To Break The Internet Tomorrow. Again.

Seems DC has plans for Simone, so she's supposedly not gone from the company yet.

And DC went and put her back on Batgirl! No reason stated but you know it's over the cries of fans.
