Nice week. Eagerly awaiting the Hickman Avengers. All the Marvel Now! books I've bought so far have been underwhelming. Hopefully, he can turn the tide.

STUMPTOWN VOL 2 4 as well.
There is a possibility of a surprise for me in this issue, I hope it worked out.

Not a big week, but with All-New, Amazing, and Avengers it looks to be a good one. I've enjoyed the Marvel NOW! books I've gotten and I hope Avengers is enjoyable. I'm more excited about New Avengers though, and this one I"m getting as a sort of companion book to try out.
Also, do you get the sketch variants and other variants just to get them or because you get the actual title? Because if you're looking to make cuts, and you don't actually collect those titles, that seems like it'd be a thing to cut. Maybe only get the ones you actually read rather than just any of them? Or is there another reason you get them?

To be truthful, I actually only end up reading half of what I actually buy and read the rest digitally. I think there was one week I bought 10 books, only read 1 in comic form, and the rest I read after I downloaded them. When I look at stuff to get rid of, I look at non-variant covers to sell. And the only time I buy stuff off eBay it's for variants.
To be honest, I could drop buying all physical copies and only buy variants and be satisfied.

Why variants?

Basically the 90s brainwashed me, lol. It's part of the whole "it's rarer, gotta keep it" type of thing. They're unique and not as many as normal covers. I've always gotten variants (my recent pride and joy acquisition was the Gen 13 #1 covers sealed box set).
And since I'm buying them to collect them, I don't feel bad buying it and not reading it in physical form.

Sad day.
There was a possibility of me getting drawn into Stumptown 4, but it didn't work out. Oh well.

The couple pages I was going to be in Rucka re-wrote, and everything else was done,s o there was no chance to get me in the book.
Southworth mentioned trying to get me into a Marvel book he is doing soon, though.

Right place right time?
I bought a couple pages at a time from him where it helped him out a lot.
So I floated the question, and he was all for it. I also told him Id buy the page from him, that I was in.
It was originally supposed to be a new Dark Horse project to come out last fall, but that fell through.
