Given that its only a matter of time before digital comics will be mainstream (not any time soon though) has anyone already gotten on the wagon and started buying comics digitally as well as the physical copy? If so, how has your experience been? Is it worth it for the convinence factor, are they easy to download & pay for?

I haven't purchased any digital copies but as you all know I mainly read digital comics. One awesome thing about the new digital revolution that Marvel and DC have started with the "digital day of" means that copies to download are readily available. The only problem I have with the authentic digital copies is that while it is great to have the double-page spreads already combined, the size of the page is only about 75% of what a normal scanned double-page spread is. I've been told you can download programs to read them on an iPad or other tablet device. And from what I understand, the process of downloading is relatively simple.
The reason I prefer reading digital copies is that I find reading on the computer so much easier than reading physical copies. No matter where I try to read the physical copy, something always happens to limit the experience (such as not being able to get comfortable in my house no matter where I try to read it, having bad glare on the pages, etc). And being able to quickly search through your collection than having to go and find which long box you have it, search through all your copies (if you have them in alphabetical-numerical order), undoing the tape, carefully picking it out, etc. I find I read issues faster through computer as well, and by doing that I can more quickly read stuff I never did before.

I have a comic reader on my ipad, that I downloaded No Mans Land onto to read in my spare time. It was pirated.
I really enjoy it.
I did however try Marvels app, with some free download codes, which is awful.
I do not like reading them on my computer.

I have comixology on my smartphone but I only get the free stuff.
The whole thing about digital comics is getting on my nerves because it seems to me the comics industry is simply taking for granted that any fan has the proper device to read digital comics. Well, guess what, we can't all afford tablets.
I have an HTC Desire, it's a small screen and I don't see myself paying to read something on it.
If I had an iPad-style tablet, I might consider it but I can't afford one.
So yeah, screw "digital first".
