I just heard about this yesterday. A big event (not a comic con sized event) but of a substantial size is being held in Midtown (next to Madison Sq Garden)on Saturday March 31 from 10:00am - 7:00pm. It'll have lots of vendors all selling comics, toys, statues and related comic memorabilia.
In addition to all the comic stuff it'll have some high level talent there as well: Stan Lee, George Perez, Jim Sterenko, Neal Adams, Michael Golden, Billy Tucci, Mike Texeria, Carmine Infantino, Danny Fingeroth, Sean Chen and other indie artists, creators some some celebs.
Full list is here:

And to boot, ticket prices are like $12 for early bird specials and probably $20 - $30 regular.
It's no Seattle Comic Con but damn itd be a great way to spend a Saturday.
Only problem is I may not be able to go because I promised my neices I'd take them to see a puppet play and then to a Fair which is all from 1-4
AAAGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! DAMN YOU ADULTHOOD!!!!!!!
