6$ + shipping? Why would you take that deal when there'll probably be a second printing at some point?

Or simply get a pull list?

I could've waited for the 2nd printing but I really wanted a first printing.

And I don't have a pull list because I like to pull my titles off the rack. I rarely miss a title and when I do they'll have it for me the following week so its not a big deal. Also shipping was $2.00 so I didn't exactly break the bank

Yet you paid $8 for a $3 comic.

Considering what the DCNU were selling for at the montreal comic con, they aren't really $3 comics.

If you can't get it when they come out, they are $10-$20 comics.

Isn't this somewhat absurd? Everyone knows they'll not become collector's items. If only because of the second, third and fourth printing that'll come out.

I know, I know.

I'm spending $8 on a Stormwatch 1.

Why? Because I prefer first prints. Why else? Because I want to read it AND IT'S SOLD OUT EVERYONE IN TOWN GRAGH!

Same with Prelude to Schism 4. Spending 6 bucks on a $4 comics.

I am spending an extra $5 because I prefer first printings, not because I think it's a collectors item. I know it's absurd, but it's the way it is for me.

Stormwatch #1 was a very poor comic, unfortunately.

I know, I know, I know.

I still want to read it. It intrigues me.

If this is the quality it delivers, that'll be gone quickly for a better title. Not sure which one, though.

Stormwatch was just an example of poor writing. No, you don't have to explain what your powers are in dialog between characters who know each other. No, Martian Manhunter does not need to explain why he's changing shape. I was disappointed in it.

This week I ended up getting 6 of the 12 DCnU. Haven't had a chance to read anything yet so no clue what's good and what's not, but my retailer spoke very highly of Batman (as did everyone on the internet).

It took about a minute for me to download all 12 new issues as a torrent, very nice!

Batman was definitely good, it lived up to expectations. It also had a very nice setup to introduce the characters without being too forceful. It seems Dick was never Batman, so that means Bruce never died, thus maybe Final Crisis never happened.

Only other one I read so far (going to bed now) was GL Corps, and I think it did a great job of introducing Guy and John while adding a mystery to kick things off. Very nice job for new readers, even readers who know nothing of the GL mythos.
