So basically, I arrived there early, the line was already huge but it was mostly fucking cosplayers going to Japan Expo. I waited for the Dutchies and then we got in. We went directly to "Artists Alley" and found there were already lines for most artists except Geoff Darrow.
So we got in line for Lee Bermejo, there were 8 people ahead of us, well really there were 3 but the 5 others had put their backpacks there to "book" their spots. Dicks, all of them.
Anyway, from 10h30 to 18h00, there was always at least one of us in the line and yet, we did not get a sketch as Bermejo takes his sweet time sketching (but makes fucking awesome sketches).
We did however get some sketches from Renato Guedes, Pasqual Ferry and Geoff Darrow.
I got a Vertigo HC at discount price, so did Dutchie. We wandered around a bit but really, this comic con has pretty much nothing to do with comics.
Also, Brian Azzarello recognized me. He went "Oh shit! Arnaud!! How are you doing?" when I showed up in front of him.

I would have said fuck it if the left their backpacks there. Move them outside the line.

Did Azz ask about the baby? Or anyone else?

Nope. Well, Dutchie offered a nice pajama. :)

Priceless. Azzarello and his weird beard has a transatlantic stalker...2 if you count Wulf.

We took off at around 7.30pm, me to catch my train, them to get their car. But they had booked a hotel to stay the night, have breakfast on Champs Elysées and drive back on Sunday.

Paris Con was pretty awesome due to Arn being there. The Con itself was mainly manga and anime. Basically there was one comic booth and artist alley. And given the fact some artists took their sweet time... well, waiting in line was all there as to do anyway, so we didn't really mind. We got some nice sketches of Geof Darrow, Pasquale Ferry and Renato Guedes and a fun quick doodle of David Aja in an Iron Fist HC.

Anyway, Natascha and I got up at 3 AM on Friday and indeed booked a hotel for the Saturday night. We had breakfast in Paris and as it turned out there was Summer carnival. If that coincides next year again and there are some good artist, we might just as well go anyway.

If we do that again, I'm buying the tickets that gives you earlier entrance.

Also, some stuff that happened but we didn't know :

Delcourt booth had Dave McKean and Trevor Hairsine signing.
Panini booth had Sarah Picelli signing and sketching (it was a draw to choose who would get a sketch).
