And on a related note, the more I discuss B&R the more I am convinced I am doing the right thing by dropping it.
It's possible, but I wouldn't know. I haven't picked up Superman/Batman since about.. oh.. issue 17? And I have no real desire to at any point either.
And yeah, I feel weird leaving a book when Morrison does, but I got it solely to be "in the loop" when Bruce Returned, and that's basically here, so I no longer need to be "in" even though it feels like I'm still so far out of it.

I've been out of the Flash loop for the longest so educate me Tragic: Did Wally's title get put on hiatus or canceled when he left? Where did he go and when did he leave? When he returns will it be to take over Barry's title or his own?
Whoa.. are you talking like when he disappeared back in Infinite Crisis?!?!
Ok, sorry if you know most all fo this, but I'll start from the beginning of what I know:
When Wally disappeared in IC, his book was 'postponed' at whatever issue it was that was the final one before IC. Bart came back as Flash and had his own 13 issue run as the Flash in FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE.
Then Bart died at the end of that just as Wally returned in JLA/JSA: The Lightning Saga. Wally got revenge, and his title was 'continued' and basically picked back up with the same numbering and written by Mark Waid. It was a basic disaster sales wise, and the stories weren't that great either. Just before Final Crisis they cancelled his title, because of course between Sales and knowing Barry was coming back, it made sense editoraly.
Barry came back, was the primary Flash in FLASH REBIRTH though Wally was there, and with him occasionally in BLACKEST NIGHT, tho Barry was the primary Flash.
Current Flash series stars Barry, and Wally is being kept 'out of the picture' for the first story to basically re-introduce Barry to the Comics world and readers who've only every heard about him and rarely read a book with him. Outside of the FLASH SECRET FILES AND ORIGINS that was between Rebirth #6 and Flash #1, no other Flash has appeared in the FLASH title. No Jay Garrick, no Jessie Quick, and no Wally West. Not even Bart. It's all Barry for at least this storyline for that purpose.
Wally and the rest of the Flash Family will be showing up in the next story or two as a lead up to the 2011 Flast Event entitled FLASHPOINT. It looks like Johns and DC are trying to mimic his 'trilogy' success he had with GL so far.
Also, there will be a title in 2011 called Flash: Speed Force (or Flash: Legacy) that features the likes of Jay, Wally, Bart, Jessie, and Wally's kids as a sort of analogy to GL Corps.
So Wally's semi-'retired'/raising his kids as a primary focus right now. He's only been seen recently in flashbacks in SUPERGIRL and BATMAN that I know of. But he'll be back by the end of this year I believe, or early next as a sort of guest star in Flash I'm assuming to lead into the event. He was supposed to have a back up in FLASH but the cancelled to focus solely on Barry.
That work?

As for GA, I'm really glad I didn't pick it up. Giving him a complicated new storyline on the heels of the shitty Final Crises & Blackest Night is just a reciepe for trouble. Editorial wanted to make him even grimer & grittier than before so they're putting him on the Hal Jordan route. We all know how that worked out. A similar thing was done with Aquaman when he returned after Our Worlds at War. His new title was so convoluted and confusing it dragged on for almost 20 issues before house cleaning was done and they went back to just telling good stories. Of course by that point, I had dropped it.
Yeah GA hasn't been that great. It's my 3rd longest reading title after Uncanny X-Men and X-Men (Legacy), and after over 100 issues, I feel like I just can't cut it, because I've stuck it out through worse and know with the right writer he can be really well handled. I'm hoping this is just for a year at max and they go back to "we need to put him back with heroes and not a sulking outlaw" because I just don't want to give up on a title I've invested over 5 years in, and the one that really brought me into DC Comics as a whole. It'd be a damn shame if I had to finally stop reading Green Arrow.

Good to know thanks. A bi-monthly book also gives me fragile wallet breathing room.
Yeah, don't quote me, I was just assuming based on the shipping schedule from May to July to September, but like I said if nothing's for November like it would need to be, then it could have been postponed or less of a priority since JMS is on both WW and Superman now. They could be looking for a new writer to take over or just not yet announced that September's issue may be the final one. I'm not sure but I'll keep my eyes open for news on it.
