Batman is ok but it has a typical flaw of Scott Snyder, in my opinion : arc ends are weak. Lots of cool build-up and the end does not live up to it.
The last I read was the Joker story (Death of the Family) and I wasn't especially vowed by it.
Also, the spoilers I've read about the new status quo at the end of the current arc "Endgame" are really not encouraging.

The art by Greg Capullo is awesome, though.

Not at all and now he is Marvel exclusive when it comes to work for hire, I believe. Not writing any DC stuff anyway.
