It comes via Bleeding Cool, so I suppose we should take it with a grain of salt right?

It seems that Senior VP of Sales at Marvel David Gabriel claims Marvel will be killing someone every Quarter after the increase in FF. The say it won't be the focus of the book, but helping to launch what comes next, like with the new direction of "FF" post-Human Torch.
What do you guys think? If this is real then it could spell disaster for some characters, beloved or not, or it'll be something that gets so old and fan-angering after a year that it'll backfire horrible on Marvel.
Again, if this is legitimate, something I'm finding it hard to be having only just heard it and yet it was at the summit a few days ago.

A lot of the deaths were a bit forced, it seems. I do wonder whether the death of Martian Manhunter and "death" of Batman in Final Crisis were done knowing specifically that they'd be brought back within a couple of years.Tragic Angelus wrote:At least it wasn't official company policy when they were doing (and continue to do) all of that. This is directly forced in by management it seems.
And it seems a lot of the deaths in the DC books weren't just to kill people but instead to help a story out. Identity Crisis could not have been done without a death. Infinite Crisis...well, some of those deaths were pretty wasteful but they did help to display how Superboy Prime was slowly turning into a bad guy. Only death I can really think of in 52 was of Vic Savage (to help force Renee into becoming The Question) and Ralph Dibny (to me that was the best ending for his character, he finally got to see Sue again). Countdown....well, Countdown was utter shite that should not be mentioned again
Marvel kills just to kill. Not for the emotional or plot use, just to kill. Did Nightcrawler and Cable have to die? Hell no.
