I'm still not fully understanding Halcyon, but at least we got some kind of revelation this issue. However, not having enough of a background on any of the characters, it's hard to tell what all's going on. What do you think from what you've read?

From the 2 issues I've read...I'm still a bit confused, but I get the gist of it. I like it so far, that's certain. I am thinking of stopping a lot of series after the first arc and may do that...

Well this is only a 6 issue mini from what I recall. And we hit the halfway point here and got some (possible) answers, but we have 0 character origins/backgrounds and it seems kind of loose in story so I'm a bit confused from time to time. I'm hoping it all comes together, otherwise I won't do a volume 2 of the series if it occurs.

I wonder if the intention was to NOT give any character origins at all and just make you connect them with Marvel/DC characters?

Yeah that's possible. But the problem is I can't even recall their names to be honest, they're used so infrequently and in passing. I may reread the entire thing once the first story's out and go from there. If it's a case of 'you need the whole story to get it' I'll pass on anymore because I can't stand that.

It may be one of those "better read together" type of stories. I generally have trouble remembering names (even if I've watched a show 100 times I'll still forget someone's name, annoys the hell outa me) so the name thing wasn't too abnormal for me...

Buffy #50
Batman: Streets of Gotham #19
Justice League of America #53
Superman/Batman #80
X-Men Legacy #244

I'm excited about Buffy and to see how it ends. Obviously there will loose threads that aren't tied up that will be picked up next season but that still leaves a whole lot to go through. Also excited about SoG, however, I'd be more excited about it if there were more SoG and less Ragman backup. The rest are all meh
