Called my shop back home and they didn't have 27. I might swing by the one here tomorrow since I need to buy boxes to store my trades in. if no one does I'm not too worried, but I wouldn't mind spreading out on new books as they start rather than playing catch up later on.

Call, call around.

I called 6 shops in calgary today. I found 1 copy.

They are selling, not listed, selling for $20 on ebay now.

Well there's only one shop here as it is. I could search around Indy, but I'm not super worried about it. If it ends up keeping up the good story telling I'll get the trade, or hell, settle for a 2nd printing even. I'm not hardcore seeking it out but I'm willing to grab it to read if it's available.

The 2nd printing is going to be shipped with the 2nd issue according to Bleeding Cool.

I'm not too worried. The shop here was out of it, as he'd only ordered 3. He wasn't expecting much and he didn't have anyone rush in to find it but just the ones who knew about it or found it interesting. If anything I'll probably just look for the trade if the series ends up keeping up it's good storytelling.

It'll be interesting to get the trade given the size format, that might be a neat book to own. And everyone underprinted, I sometimes think Image does that on purpose to (as Wulf said) increase hype. It happened with Spawn early on and it's happened with hits such as Chew and Morning Glories.

I think it might be more along of the lines of the print run is done right around the time of the internet hype.

With Morning Glories and 27 it started getting mentioned a lot after the comic had been to the printer.

In other news, was in a book store today and saw 3 copies of 27 #1 and I bought them. Why? I'm not really sure, I'll probably give them to my comic guy.

When I asked about the size and format, the guy at the shop here pointed out another book Image had done about Cowboy Vikings Ninjas or something and said it was oversized as well, but that the Trade wasn't that much bigger than most and he showed it to me. So he said they may do that as well.

Vikings by Ivan Brandon and Nic Klein was printed oversized format.
I'm pretty sure that the HC trade was in oversized format as well. Don't know about the softcover version though.
