Favorite ongoing is a toughie. Right now my favorite ongoing is Invincible with Powers at second place and Scalped at third. I only pushed Powers up to 2nd because of the powerfully written Monkey sex origin issue.
Invincible is consistently written with intelligence and humor. Kirkman doesn't try to be too gritty or dark and has a lot of fun with the genre by taking old 50s and 60s sci-fi elements and using them in them in his story while acknowledging their ridiculousness.
I don't own too many complete runs or runs large enough that several creative teams have worked on them, but from what I have it would be the Bendis run on DareDevil as my favorite with Morisson's JLA at a close second (this is subject to change).
I don't know if this counts or not but Ennis' 4 issue mini from Preacher about the Saint of Killers is one of my all-time favorite reads. The art was so-so but the writing was phenominal. The dialogue, the narration, the pacing, everything was just amazing. If Ennis will be present at the NYCC '10 I plan on getting it signed by him.
I don't have too many of Maxi series so I'll just put down The Long Halloween until I can think of a better series.
Same with One-shots, I don't own too many so I'll just default to Darwyn Cooke's Batman story from a couple years ago. Can't remember the name of it, but it was good enough for me to have read several times.
Currently, I am enjoying the shit out of Buffy, Star Wars: Legacy, The Walking Dead & Gotham City Sirens. These books have consistently been fun and compelling reads. Star Wars Legacy in particular has very enjoyable and my interest in it has not yet waned...except when they did that shitty 12 part storyline that crossed over into all the titles. Could have done without that. And on related note, I'm sad to see Astounding Wolf-man get cancelled. It was a great title.
For original Graphic Novel, I'll say We3 as another default. Don't own too many originals.

Current books as in ones that are being published now, that fall into any category. Basically anything you love on your pull list.
Ongoings are any long running series (in their entirety), whether finished or not.
Runs would be a section of an ongoing.
So, Hellblazer might not be a favorite ongoing, but Garth Ennis's Hellblazer might be a favorite run.

Bloody hell Wolf! Five questions? FIVE! Are you mad.
Fuck! There's actually SEVEN!
Ongoing Series
I'm going to say Preacher. Preacher was the first series I bought in TPB. More to the point, after the first two books, I made it a point to buy the other trades as quickly as possible. I loved this series...
... I've just realised this is all a lie.
Punisher MK series by Ennis was probably the first series I collected in trades. Well, that or Bendis's Daredevil. However, Preacher was collected entirely in trade, while with the other two, I picked up the issues, when my trade purchase got close to the latest issue on release.
Anyway after Preacher, the moment I came across an old on-going series that had been entirely collected in trades, and I enjoyed the first two books, I would buy the entire series.
Runs in a Series
So tempted to say Morrison's New X.Men, since what he did was fucking clever and original for a change. Magneto as fashion? Genius! Very contemporary.
However, I think Bendis's Daredevil better exemplifies a favourite run in a series for me, since the stuff after Bendis didn't much appeal to me at all. Bendis nailed DD. Everything else afterwards was good, but just didn't give me a reason to anticipate it every month.
On a similar level, Matt Fraction and Brubacker absolutely wrote a fantastic Ironfist. Crap on a totem pole ladies and gentlemen; how many times can you say that someone has written "A FANTASTIC IRONFIST"? Let's face it, this character, a bit like Daredevil is doomed to failure and life in constant reboot mode. For Bru and Fract to write something fantastic; woah!
Mini-Series (2-6 issues)
I would have to go back and look. However, Peter David's Madrox can get a big mention here. After Madrox, I was so glad to see PD get an X Factor series.
Maxi-Series (6-12 issues)
Could be The Twelve, if that every fucking finishes!
One-Shots
From recent memory, a lot of Matt Fraction's Thor one shots have been fucking amazing-o.
Current Books
Since, my favourite on-going was something in the past, it makes this category easy.
Walking Dead gets an honourable mention; naturally. However, Incredible Hercules, which is so funny, charming and full of superhero theatrics and features a b-list hero comfortably in the lead, is quite possibly Marvel's current best offering.
Another honorable mention goes to DMZ, which after the second trade, I'm now well fucking into! Scalped too! Amazing-o!
The Boys is an odd favourite of sorts. It's sick and twisted for the sake of it and sometimes the story barely calls for it, yet I always look forward to it every month.
Original Graphic Novel
Can't think for the moment. I don't think WE3 counts in this category Wally. It came out in three parts, rather than being written directly as a trade. Good mini though.
Writer
Well, is it any surprise I'm picking Ennis? Punisher Max, MK, Preacher, Dear Billy, Hitman - all brilliant!
Artist
Eduardo Risso, quite possibly. 100 Bullets was brilliant! Steve Dillon gets an honorable mention.

I'll skip some of the better know series comments, since what can I say that hasn't been said ad nauseum?
Transmetropolitan
One of the first series I ever read in full, bought all the trades and loved them. IU just re-read them, and while it started slow, once the overall plot got going, it was fanastic again.
Sandman
No comment necessary.
Queen & Country
Greg Rucka well researched B&W British spy novel following MI6 minders. Published by Oni Press they can be kind of hard to find, but worth the look. it ran 32 issues, 3 3 issues minis (1 not by Rucka) and 2 novels. They are supposed to be continued at some point.
Losers
Lifted from Wiki
The Losers' reimagining was set against events surrounding and including the War on Terror. Originally a Special Forces team seconded to the Central Intelligence Agency. in the 90s, the Losers were betrayed by their handler, Max, and left for dead following the conclusion of their operation. Eager for revenge and the opportunity to remove their names from a secret CIA death list, the Losers regroup and conduct covert operations against the CIA and its interests, uncovering startling operations spearheaded by the enigmatic Max, whose influence within the CIA and U.S. government is unparalleled.
I'd never really heeard of Diggle before this, now I have rounded up everything he has written.
Walking Dead
Who doesn't love ZOMBIES!?
Honorable Mentions
Alias, DMZ, Ex Machina, Fables, Cable & Deadpool, Invincible, Mircale Man, Preacher, Sleeper
Also, stating why blows.
