I'm sorry if I was getting Stoney mixed into the business between you and I. Everyone's been really cool about him even though he's the new guy. He's been super busy with work so he hasn't had much time to socialize with everyone, but I'm sure he'll get around to it.

I get that you're pissed off cuz the board seems different. To be honest, I don't think it's changed all that much. Some folks expressed opinions about wanting it to be less the way it used to be, but a lot of the language and jokes still go the same way. I don't look around BX and think "fuck, when did this place become a convent". I'm not the best person to compare it to BX from a year or two years ago, I avoided anything I wasn't into. I get that it's hard for you to face the possibility of this place changing. Me personally, I don't see a lot of changes being made and everyone seems pretty much the same as they were before. Most everyone is sick to death of the arguing, me included. I am, however, glad we're talking about this stuff.

I know I'd be pissed off if I were you. If I thought my haven was crumbling (or in this case conforming) I'd shout bloody murder from the rooftops. I think I did that back in the day, when I didn't get/didn't like the way BX was going. I know there were periods of time when very few people posted in a day, or a week on the old BX, but these things are cyclic. It always picked up again. But when you say people who weren't there long to begin with, left a while ago, aren't here now... some of that is cuz they were grossed out or scared off by the way things went there. How was that fair to them, that they had to suck it up or leave?

I'm not sure what I or anyone can do. I'm not the ringleader of what you perceive is the new censorship movement, there is no ringleader as far as I know. It's just something the place has been transitioning into. I'm not exactly sure why, but I'm not surprised I'm the person getting picked on to instigate all these changes.

I don't think you have to give up on this place, though. I've been kinda surprised what a hard line and militant attitude you've taken to the idea of change. (not said to be insulting) But like I said, if I was you I wouldn't want to give up my boy's club either. Hopefully a balance can be attained and everyone can stay together and meek will come back and it'll be happily ever after.

I personally don't feel like anything has changed. Then again, I never followed the JDC cause you fuckers wouldn't let me in Kidding aside, I really don't think excluding JDC should make people get all pissy. Fuck, if you really really really really want the JDC then you can easily create a forum specifically for that. That way no one will say "you sick fuck!" or "dude, too far" cause there will be no "too far" there. As I said earlier, I didn't pay attention to JDC before and could really care less if it was here or not...

That's exactly it, there was this big hullabaloo about "cleaning up the board" but then everyone just continued to post around talking about tits and calling people cunts, the usual stuff. What was even the point of that? It seemed like all it did was alienate people who have brought more to the board than most of the people who left over the years.

I've been testing the waters with some pretty fucked up shit, and no one has said a word about it.

I think people hated the JDC more because it was exclusive than because it was sick. It was essentially a collection of regular posters who weren't accepted into the main BX faction who glommed together and basically took over the board through aggressive post-whoring and gross-out circle jerks. Ah, the golden years.

This is why comixfan forums (or whatever the fuck it was called) had a "no clubs" rule. Very divisive, but (my perception is) it was sort of formed in reaction to the exclusiveness of the core BX group so who knows.

As Meek said, there's probably an option somewhere in your profile to put a member on your Ignore list and thus you won't see his/her post. There's probably also a way to disallow sigs and avatars thus you won't have to bear with them. (the only sig you are allowed to bitch about are Goshin's cause, like, that's old school fun). I know another V-Bulletin MB where you can do that, I don't see why this one wouldn't be able to.
