DVD:

Green Lantern: First Flight (2-Disc Special Edition)
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2 Disc Special Edition)

Still need to get Superman/Doomsday, DC: The New Frontier, Batman: Gotham Knight & Wonder Woman. Of all these, I want the WW dvd the most.

I don't own the Superman/Doomsday or the Gotham Knight. I would be tempted to get GK as it was good but don't really want S/D other than for a complete set so to speak.

Justice League Crisis on 2 Earths hits today so I'll probably nab it tonight or tomorrow

I've been hearing many great things about Crisis on 2 Earths. I'm going to netflix Crisis and buy the movie a little later on.

However, Netflix has recently struck a deal with WB that states that any time a Warner Bros. movie is released on DVD there, will be a 1 month period of lag time from when the DVD is released and when netflix will get it. The purpose of this, I suppose, is to get as many copies of their movies sold in that month as possible. Given the vast volume of Netflix customers and movies WB is probably losing more money on sales now that Netflix is a major player in DVD entertainment.

A question for you guys:

Do you buy your DVDs on Blu-Ray or continue to buy them on regular DVD format?

I bought it, and it was fantastic. More later.

As for the DVD/Blu Ray, I still do DVD because I don't have a blu-ray player, and my entire collection is still DVD. Now, maybe when they do the complete switch over I'll start to move but I want a player first before starting to buy them, even though I don't really care much for the difference so far.

Mystery of the Batwoman was a direct to DVD release, that came out some time after Batman: Mr Freeze Sub-Zero. It wasn't as heavily marketed as the other Batrman animated films. I myself havent seen it so far and the only reason I picked it up was because it was on sale.

Well that much is a given. But I thought I recalled his general dislike for the movie.

I don't like animated stuff? Since when? I don't like manga and the animé that comes from it. But the rest? I have no problem with that.

I just thought when it came out you didn't like the animated New Frontier... what the hell... I could've swore that you weren't a fan of it... My bad. My memory tends to screw with me at times apparently...

Got these within the last week and forgot to add them.

Books:

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
The Pigman by Paul Zindel

Got them for a class, and I've read the first two already. I have to buy four more books, which I'll do some of tomorrow.

Books:

Forever... by Judy Blume
Rainbow Boys by Alex Sanchez
The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros

For the Young Adult Literature class I'm in again. Finished Forever... and it wasn't that great. Young true love/first love book where there's no real disease/pregnancy concesquences with sex. About 1/3 the way through Rainbow Boys, which switches every chapter between the three main characters, all of whom are young gay men in a High School who are either out, coming out, or struggling. So far it's really good.
