Dominic Cooper cast as Jesse Custer

Post by Mr Wallstreet »

Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark in the Marvel movies) has been cast as Jesse Custer for the new Seth Rogen produced Preacher series for AMC network.

No word yet on how Mitch feels about this

Ha, ha, ha :-)

I'm not sure what I think of Cooper as an actor.

And why would I have any particular feelings about this casting?

Cooper's known for pop corn movies like Avengers and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, he's done some good character acting as well. The Devil's Double was a film in which he portrayed the body double of Saddam Hussein's son, Uday Hussein. A very well done and acted film. Also he had a part in Dracula Untold. The film was okay but Cooper's performance was very good. He's got some range as an actor so ill give him the benefit of the doubt, also he's seemingly good with accents so We'll see

Have you watched Agent Carter? I thought his accent was serviceable.

He wasn't the strongest actor in that show, though.

I'm not too familiar with him, so I have no clue if he'll be a good Jesse Custer.

It's much better than Agents of SHIELD.

I haven't seen Agent Carter yet either. I forgot to watch when it came out and planned to watch it all at once and then simply forgot. I'll binge once it's on Netflix.
