I found it enjoyable, but critically only alright. 6/10.
It's a show done exactly by the books. All handsome cast - check. The lead is on a quest of redemption/revenge - check. Love interest strategically rejected for her own protection - check. Flashback scenes help advance plot and add mystery - check. Friend close by / family member potentially an enemy - check.
It does all the above things pretty well and because I'm a sucker for comic book stuff I really did enjoy it. The Deathstroke mask has me hooked to discover where that story bit is going.
Anyone a big fan of GL? How well do you feel they've done in taking certain characters and 'youthing' them into a role for this show? What do you think about Tommy 'Merlyn'?

So is anyone but Stocky watching this?
I like the way they're doing the 'origin'. Flashbacks that are interesting and yet not compete with the main story. Also like the way they're quietly expanding the universe (although I could do without Barry Allen visiting),
And to answer Stocky: I'm not a fan of GL at all. In fact, I liked how he was The Hood, too bad they're going towards the Green Arrow name. Who's Tommy Merlyn in the comics?

I don't understand how she moves in the clothes she has, they are so tight. She has lost weight for sure.Stocky Boy wrote:I've just watched S02E07. Did Laurel lose a ton of weight between episode 6 and 7?
Her face looked so much skinnier in 7.
Should I have seen Barry Allen already? They keep mentioning STAR labs and Mitch you said something earlier.

Eventually. I know deathstroke is supposed to become a series regular, and we will come to Starling city.Stocky Boy wrote:I'm very curious as to when/if Deathstroke and the asian girl make it to Starling city.
I think he becomes a regular by the end of the season, or beginning of season 3.
