So, at the comic show I finished my JSA and JLA runs.
Got a bunch of Waid Original Captain America run.
Titans first series.
Finished Young Justice.
A bunch of Frank Millars Daredevil.
Some Queen and Country.
A fair chunk of Waids Impulse run.
Batman: The Long Halloween 2 to finish the mini.
Waid's Empire Mini Series.

And the highlight...

The entire run of Preacher, plus one-shots and specials. It was not cheap, but it cost me less than cover price.

Great stuff Wolf! Good luck with the belt test, too!

Oh and like Wally asked, did you get to speak to Bill Adama?

Mm, yeah, I did. Very, very nice man.

He was there with the gal who plays Duealla.

He had long hair though, looked bizarre.

Jewel Statie, from Firefly and Stargate was there. So pretty.

I finally read Final Crisis 7.
I have no idea what Final Crisis was about, nor do I have any idea what the impact was/is on the DCU.
What the fuck?

Bruce Wayne is dead/lost in time. That's about it. I think.

I seriously couldn't even tell Batman died in Final Crisis. Between all the paralell universes, and black supermen, and it not making any sense, I didn't get it.

Such a fail.

Bigger fail than the Spirit.

So, after completing (though not reading, so many issues to read):
MK Punisher
Young Justice
Impulse
Titans
Waid's Captain America
JLA
JSA
Impulse
Ronin
Marvel Boy
Teen Titans
Millars DD
Queen and Country

I need to find more things to read/collect:
I was thinking of:

Animal Man 1-26 - Morrison
Doom Patrol 19-63 - Morrison
100 Bullets 1-100 - Azarello
Stormwatch Vol 2 1-11 - Ellis
Starman 0-80 - James Robiinson
Swamp Thing 20-64 - Alan Moore

Anyone have any thoughts on these series, any good? Anything else I should look at?

Anyone read Millars Give Me Liberty stuff?

I also want to go back and re-read Planetary, Authority, and maybe re-trying the first few issues of invisibles.

Oh, and Hellblazer I think, too. I think I see a lot of it at flea markets.

But it's 250 some freaking issues.

Having only read 100 Bullets, Swamp Thing and Animal Man, those are the ones I'd reccomend.

I'm collecting 100 Bullets by Azzerallo and it lives up to the hype of being a fantastic noir series. Its got a gritty setting, great characters, and a huge bastard of a mystery that spins several different ways.

The drawback is that, like many other Vertigo titles, this one should be read in paperbacks/storylines or what have you or else it may not make as much sense and also has several different smaller stories going on at any given time that in some way feed into the larger story.

I continue to collect the 100 Bullets paperbacks but haven't read any in a year or 2 because the paperbacks are released so far apart, I'd forget everything that happened in the last X paperbacks. I'm waiting for the last paperback to come out, then I'm going to re-read the entire series.

Animal by Morisson is also a great read. People call it some of Morisson's best work due to a few extra unusual issues he wrote; I didn't get that level of depth from those issues, but definitely an interesting and entertaining run.

Alan Moore's Swamp Thing is okay; I have his entire run in paperback and am slowly making my way through it. It's enjoyable, and people have called it the definitve interpretation of Swamp Thing, not sure I'd agree with that wholeheartedly but it does stand apart from other interpretations of ST.

All these comics I couldn't read until I have the series complete, and read them in a row.

I can get pretty much all of Starman online for 120 bucks, which is tempting.
I am also leaning towards getting 100 Bullet off ebay in a lot, that one will have to wait though, it's slightly pricier.
Animal Man is also short, so I am leaning towards it as well.

Well. I got most of Starman and Animal Man.

And my new comics! My comic guy thinks he has almost all of 100 bullets, too.

I <3 comics.
