Stocky Boy wrote:By the way, how are your high kicks?

Can you do the splits in any direction?

For grappling, I do a few stretches to help me out with some of the 'guard' work we do there.

I've never done much high kick work other than with pads. I mostly stick to hands, when I did do sparring.

Which is your favoured leg?
My favored leg has switched to my left. It is now more powerful and smoother than my right, thanks to over working my right. I can kick someone my height in the head, although not as well, as I am not as limber as I was a month ago. Working on that.

I can do the splits to about a foot off the floor, which is pretty good for a guy my height. My instructor cannot do the splits, although he is close.

Very interesting. I think my split level is also a foot off of the ground, but then I'm closer to the ground than you, so this is clearly relative.

How about putting your foot behind your head? :D I can do both feet - not at the same time though!

How much time do you dedicate to sparring and padwork?

Incidentally, did you get your NYCC09 t-shirt?

I've pinged them over another email. Fuckers aren't replying!

I have also had a lot of groin injuries lately, so my stretching has not been great.

Lately it's been all padwork, I'll start sparring again soon, I've just been too sick/injured. What about you?

I've yet to receive it. I'll see what happens this week.

I was consistently, and with great force, been kicking someone my height in the head. It's awesome.

I was making such a nice, loud snap, when I connected, everyone in the class stopped and looked. To top it off, I bruised my partners arms through the pads. Yay!

I am fine. The guy backed into my headlight.
He was stopped at an intersection and decided to back up.
Idiot.

Probably someone who thought he could jump a red light and realized he wouldn't make it so he stops and backs so as to not block the incoming traffic from the crossing street.
I hate that kind of people.

Did you smash his head on his bonnet?

He fucked up my car worse than I though. He knocked my fender out of alignment, and now my passenger side door will not open.

I am in a home, on a corner lot. We share a wall with 1 other house, who is on the corner itself.

Some guy in a white truck managed to knock over a telephone poll on the corner, which splintered badly on the street. Which then possibly took out the bus shelter in front of my house. It was either the pole or the truck. It was 2:40 am.

His truck then proceeded to drive over my lawn, and into my neighbors tree. If there had been less snow, or if he had been driving a little more to the right, he would have taken out the front of her home.

After doing all these, he then proceeded to flee on foot.

Talked to my neighbour. He was drunk, and ended up returning to his truck. After the cops had showed up though. He was early twenties and male.

He's fucked.

Reckless Driving
Speeding
DUI
Fleeing the Scene of An Accident
Property Damage
Reckless Endangerment?
Anything else?

The guy who backed into me on the road took claim for the accident. I am happy he didn't try and screw me over and say I rear-ended him. Unfortunately, my car is a lot more damaged than I thought.

The cleaned the debris from the car accident in front of my house has been cleaned much faster than anyone though.

To top it off, the comics I bought came in the mail today, and it's a very nice day outside. It is shaping up to be a good day.

I do seem to be a magnet for car accidents, though, which is somewhat disconcerting.
