Japanese Ghosts

There's an enormous pantheon of Japanese ghosts, Ty and our brother tell me all the time that they're mostly a depressing bunch of FU's. But I need some help and there is no way in hell I'm going to start googling this after getting such crappy sleep last night.

What's the legless ghost called? The one that drags itself after you forever to drive you nuts? Is it the one you're supposed to pretend you don't see in the first place?

Oh yeah, and what "type" of ghost was the thing from the movie The Grudge? I forgets.

The first one is, I believe, called a "Goshin."
