Cleanup on Isle X?

There has been much debate :argue: about the Jelly Donut Clan (JDC), image signatures, offensive signatures/avatars, anal raping, shit-disturbing, etc. People are pissed off and panties are getting twisted. You get the idea.

I've been involved in a couple large boards and seen them run as a democracy or a dictatorship. Both have their issues. Right now it looks like the inmates are running amok and smearing shit all over the walls in this place. I'm not saying this joint needs an enema already but it is starting to stink of something unholy. :leaving:

My opinion (so take it for what that's worth) is that ya'll need to come to a consensus and live by that. If it doesn't work out down the road you can always change your minds, but right now we're on our way to a head-on collision.

So, with that in mind, do you want to see a slightly cleaner, more mature Basement X where the girls don't run away screaming or do you want it to be a sweaty locker room where only men dare to go?

I'll just say that while my vote is going to be for raunch....I'll abide by whatever the majority votes for. I will still post here. We are, at our heart, the Jedi Council, after all.

There are advantages/disadvantages for both options.

It's a little unseemly to allow raunch, but at the same time it's part of the board's long-standing, yet strangely disturbing allure. Many sites like these are already overpoliced/modded. Then again, any community that hopes to grow has to draw up SOME sort of guidelines. I hope you get what I'm driving at here.

In the immortal words of meek: Peace!

I voted keep it dirty but I don't give a shit about the JDC. I mean I love the members but I'm not part of the clan so nyaaaah.

I think it would be impossible to have a middle option which is sad but also expected. SO between "work-friendly" and "smelling of shit" I choose the dookie option.

Either way, I'll continue to be here.

Personally, I don't think the place is going to be much different then the way it is now no matter which way the poll tips. No one's looking for an exclusively kid-friendly place to post or a frontal frontal assault of dirty. But I lean towards the clean way because I think it's the most beneficial and respectable to the most people.

Gonna be un-American here and not vote. I care not either way.

Yeah, I leaned towards "keep it clean" just because of the whole "keep the girls here" bit ^_^

At least Ami and Brian are trying not to hurt jedi's feelings, that's what really counts.

Jerks.

Its expected for me to get gangbanged ;) Lol, evidently Firefox thinks "gangbang" isn't a word and wants me to change it or search Google for it...

I was giving you nasty things to Google in one thread, which thread was it? I just remembered 'fletching'. ^_^

You want me to search arrows? Now, "felching" is pretty fucking sick, lol. It was described in detail by Chuck Palahniuk in the novel Invisible Monsters ::shudders::

Dan's ex taught me what that is lol...

Speaking of Firefox....

Actually, I'll make a different thread for this topic.

Pardon me, Chris. I guess I wanted to type it but maybe I made the spelling arrow in an attempt to save my soul. Gawd bless, son. ^_^

Not to nit-pick, Stoney, but shouldn't it be 'aisle' instead of 'isle'? ^_^

Actually it sounds cooler as Isle, makes it sound like we're stranded together a la Gilligan's Island.
