Northlanders vol 1: Sven the Returned

Really, really great story.

Couple of unexpected things with a few twists but over all great story, with fantastic artwork. More later.

The thing that most surprised me was how quickly the initial storyline was wrapped up. Sven returned home & killed his uncle all within the first 5-6 issues. Obviously there are a lot of hanging plotlines that will need to be addressed (and probably will be). But 95% of the time, the main antagonist will not be killed so very early in a series. Most of the time he he plays a crucial role in the title & will hang out and only be dispatched towards the very end of a series. i.e. God in Preacher, Lincoln Red Crow, The Estians, The Trust etc...

The fact that Wood had Sven kill his uncle so early on was both surprising and refreshing.
