So I got the TPB of Ellis' Hellstorm (and Druid mini-series). Apparantly his first work for Marvel.
Almost unbelievable Marvel actually published a book like this. This is Hellblazer in the MU.
Of course, it's a brilliant read. But mostly I was simply in awe by the fact that Marvel, superhero comicbook publisher #1 actually produced books like this. I mean, I know they did, but I started reading comics in the 90's. And I started with superhero comics, I think I didn't getto Hellblazer and Sandman until the early 2000's (and I just got caught up with Swamp Thing). So between knowing and reading what it actually was, that's a big difference. Anyway, highly recommended.

Not really my kind of thing. I never got into Hellblazer.

Figured as much.
Of course it's not Hellblazer, but tone and vibe and darkness are very much like it.
