The story based on the cover art (Thank the Maker), is one of the best Star Wars short stories. Plus the cover is damn great art!

Detective Comics 476 - Part II of The Laughing Joke. One of my favorite BTAS episodes ever. Part 1 is proving slightly trickier to get

Daredevil 158 - First Frank Miller on DD

DCBS's physical store has been having a "Ding & Dent" TPB sale every Saturday this summer, increasing percentage off every time. I went today when things were 70% off and got the following:

Legion of Monsters TPB (Marvel)
The New Teen Titans Vol 1 TPB
Avengers: The Final Threat (Epic Collection Vol 9)
X-Men X-Cutioner's Song HC
X-Men: Phalanx Covenant HC
Alias Omnibus
Saga Vol 1 HC
Buffy Season 8 Library Edition Vol 1
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tales Deluxe HC

I walked away with all of that for $130. All of the TPBs and HCs may have some dings, scratches, bent corners, etc, but none of them are torn away and falling apart. They had SO many Omnibus Editions that I was tempted to buy more. May have to go up next Saturday when it's 80% off.

Got super lucky at the flea market and got these for $80CAD.

Fantastic Four 52 - 1st Blank Panther
Luke Cage 1 - First Luke Cage
Tomb of Dracula 10 - First Blade

Going to see him again next weekend.
The luke Cage is a 2, Tomb maybe a 2.5 or 3, and the FF in a 4-4.5.

The only way I like buying those books (aka, affordable!)

These were a steal though.

London.

And it seems likely Natascha and I will hit America end August / begin September. If that happens, I'll be eyeing cons during that period.

ECCC is fucking awesome, wrong time of the year for them though. It and Heroes Con are supposed to be the two bestr big comic cons.

It also changed ownership in the last year or two so it may change a bit.

Emerald is in April, this probably will always be a wrong time for us. Heroes is in June, which is not our preferred time iether. But that could be worked.

Anyone any knowledge about Dragon Con? That seems in the right timeframe. Just as Comic Con Palm Springs.

Dagon Con, by way of George Perez:
"The most notable is Dragon Con, which isn’t really a comic convention but a major party with the great majority of partygoers being exactly the people who are now being ostracized, threatened or marginalized by the new administration. It is also a show where my wife teaches belly dance classes, as she has done for close to a decade..."

I'm not sure what to make of that.

Uncanny X-Men 17, 30, 61, 87, 88, 90
What if...? Vol. 1 25, 29, 32

I'm down to about 32 issues of Uncanny left, including Giant Size, to finish my run. First time in a while I picked up any back issues.
