High Roads TPB
Arrowsmith TPB

High Roads I had wanted to read when it came out, but missed an issue or two. Arrowsmith just looked really interesting, and Busiek and Pacheco usually don't let me down.

The Stand Omnibus & Companion. My first Omnibus, very apropos that it's Stephen King related. I'm making a lot of headway on the novel, currently at 64% and trying to read at least 1% a day (which is about 20-30 minutes per %). Going to dive into the comics after I'm finished with the book, then likely watch the mini-series again.

As a gift for Working a local show, loading all the books we were going to sell into my car and taking them back and forth, and helping to run the shop for a week I got this at the show in Indy on Sunday:

Uncanny X-Men 94

It looks great with the exception of a few minor chips at the top of the cover. But each page under it looks perfect, so it's just the cover that's got very slight damage. I was pretty happy.

Especially since it's the last book I'll be getting for awhile as I go to finance a car tonight.

Edward has grown up. And it sucks beyond belief.

Sandman #1-8 all in FN - VF condition
Miracleman 1-14; 16 - 23 all in FN - VF condition

I've got a lead on Miracleman #15 so we'll see how that goes.

I've been collecting Miracleman back issues for several months now. The only hard to find issues are 15, 23 & 24 with 24 being, in my opinion, the hardest to find of them all, given that only 6400 copies were printed.

I won a copy of #24 several weeks ago at an eBay auction but the seller dicked me at the last minute. The seller sold it to someone else. After the auction ended the seller informed me that he received an offer that was more than my winning bid and that unless I could match it, he was selling it to the other guy. I kindly told him to go fuck himself and reported him to ebay for breach of contract. They issued him a citation or warning or some such none sense but in the end I didn't get my book, so I'm on the lookout for #24 again.

That is them for the regular series.

There are far, far harder issues to find for MM. Like MM 3-D in 2D.

I've heard of some of those. Are those even considered part of the regular run from 1-24?

There are variant covers for issue 17 & 23 as well. The variant for issue 17 had a print run of about a 199 and the variant for issue 23 had a print run of 50.

The MM: Apocrypha series is also pretty easy to find and not that expensive but I'll pick that up a little later

Variants for 1 as well, as well as the british version of 1.

1-24 + Miracleman 3D is the regular run for reading.

A complete set however has a few more odds and ends that are very expensive, that are just a variant on the regular run.

There is a seller on eBay selling the entire run of MM. All 24 issues plus all the tie-ins and variants and one shots etc.., all CGC'd between 9.8-9.9. The single lowest issue he has CGC'D is is #12 or 13 which is at 9.4. His copy of #15 is CGC'D at 9.9.

He's selling the entire run for $14,000.00

If it hasn't sold, no. I'm not familiar to with the prices of most of the issues.

Maybe 8 or 10k. That 15 has to be a $2000 book though

$60 for the comic itself & $14.50 for shipping. I won it off eBay from a seller in the U.K, hence the high cost of shipping. The book was not CGC but the seller claimed it is in NM condition and the CGC grade should between 9.0 - 9.2. That doesn't concern me as Im not planning on having it, or any of my other books CGC'd.

Now, I can set my sights on MM 24

Swamp Thing vol 2 #20, 21 & 37 All in VF condition

Vol 2 is the much acclaimed Alan Moore run starting with #20.

Issue 21 is another key issue that is the first part of his new origin and issue 37 is the first appearance of John Constantine.

I picked all 3 of these up at a deal

V for Vendetta 1-10!

David Lloyd you are mine!

Only problem is issue 1 has a some pretty visible creases on it; more than it should for a book in very fine condition. So I might get a replacement of issue 1. I haven't decided yet. I think I can get one for a reasonable price. They're usually priced between $15-$25.00

Also at a flea market I found a first printing of Batman Mad Love by Bruce Timm & Paul Dini for a $1.00

Yaaaaaaa
