Batman: The Doom that came to Gotham book 1 & 2.

Back in 2000 when I got back into comic collecting, I picked up Batman: Doom that Came to Gotham book 3 not knowing what it was. I never realized it was part of a 3 issue mini. After that the price skyrocketed because it was supposedly some of Mignolia's last DC work. I tracked them both down on eBay for a reasonable sum

I picked up a lot more books on ebay over the past 2 months and ill post me soon

X-Men: Fall of the Mutants Omnibus. Hastings had a "deal of the day" thing where you could get a used copy for $16 so I grabbed 2. Shipping was only $2, a complete steal! It wasn't guaranteed but I got the email that both shipped out so sweet!

Uncanny X-Men 18, 24, 40

Now I have a run from 31-50, which is a huge chunk of my under 100 needs. 49 actually issues needed plus Giant Size and the first two Annuals are all that's left.

Also, went to the regular small show in Indy on Sunday. While I was hoping to pick up at least one older Uncanny Issue, instead someone had TPBs for $5, while another had 4 TPBs for $10. So I got all of this:

Marvel Noir: X-Men & Wolverine
Flash: Blood Will Run
Flash: Crossfire
Secret Six: Six Degrees of Devastation
Secret Six: Depths
Secret Six: Danse Macabre
Secret Six: Cat's Cradle
Secret Six: Reptile Brain
Demo Vol. 1
Gladstone's School for World Conquerors
Solomon Kane: The Castle of the Devil
Smoke & Mirrors

The Secret Six run was fantastic. It's just all around great writing, characterization, and art.

Yes it is. I wasn't going to get it since my girlfriend had it, but now that it's over I realized I needed to get the series. Couldn't pass up $5 per trade on that.

From Hell 1-11 by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell.

This series was a little harder for me to complete than Moore's other books. You can find the individual issues or the entire runs of Watchmen, V for Vendetta or Miracleman online or eBay but From Hell was one of those series that took longer to complete. I guess it wasn't as highly praised or as well received as Moore's other titles.

I was under the impression you already had Uncanny 6. Did you get a replacement copy that was better than the one you already had?

Yes I did, it was a steal, so I took it.

TPBs:

Marvel Knights Spider-Man by Millar, Dodson, & Cho
Avengers: Korvac Saga

MK Spider-Man I have in singles, but wanted the trade to sell off the singles and condense some longbox space, and got both trades for $25.

I won two awesome auctions on eBay:
Uncanny X-Men #281 CGC 9.6 for $8.50
Image

Justice League of America #31 (1964) CGC 6.0 for $12.50
Image

Both are game changing issues with X-Men taking a new direction/new team (I grew up loving this issue) and Justice League having Hawkman join for the first time.

Sunday:

Uncanny X-Men 69, 70, 71, 75, & 85

They're decent copies, with the exception of 85. It's all in one piece, but barely. My friend found it in a longbox where books were 3 for $1, if that tells you anything.

And I was told to take these home even though they're not paid off just yet:

Uncanny X-Men 2, 5

I've had them in my folder at the LCS for the last few months, paying them off as I can. 5 is basically paid, but we did it as one large sum and I still have about $110 to pay so I wanted to wait, but the owner was worried they'd get damaged and he wanted me to take them home.

I'm down to just over 40 issues including Giant Size to complete the run.

For Christmas, the only comic I got was:

Avengers Vs. X-Men: Deluxe Hardcover.

I also got 300 bags and boards though, so I'm thrilled with that.
