DO YOU LIKE COMIC BOOKS?! Shipping Nov. 3rd

Post by Tragic Angelus »

http://www.diamondcomics.com/shipping/newreleases.txt

BUFFY VAMPIRE SLAYER #38
BATMAN AND ROBIN #16
BRIGHTEST DAY #13

Most Likely:
SUPERBOY #1

Small enough week that I can probably pick up Superboy, but I only really want to after seeing that preview with the Phantom Stranger in it.

Buffy's 2 issues away now, and of course I'm enjoying Brightest Day pretty well. My final issue of B&R though, and I hope it does the job, especially since it's $1 more than usual.

BUFFY VAMPIRE SLAYER #38 [strongly hinted at being the death of Dawn...if it is, shit is going to hit the fan]
SERENITY SHEPHERDS TALE HC [FFFFFUUUUU I hate hardcovers]
BATMAN AND ROBIN #16 [last issue for me, YAY!]
BRIGHTEST DAY #13
IZOMBIE #7
RED HOOD LOST DAYS #6 [have to say, I've been very happy with this mini]
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #647
CHAOS WAR #3
BOYS #48

MAYBE:
GENERATION HOPE #1 [haven't been happy with what I've seen in Uncanny so I doubt I'll pick this up]

I wasn't too happy with the Generation Hope story so far either, though I chalk most of that up to Portacio's art. I do think the story could be better though. But the preview for it in last week's Uncanny wasn't terrible. I'm just not sold on a new X-Team with a $4 cover price.

I'm pretty happy & excited w/ Buffy coming to a close at the end of the year. It's a nice way to round it off. And Jedi, if you loathe HC's as much as I do, you could always wait several months - a year to pick up the soft cover. Granted, you're that much more behind on events but if you're buying HC's anyway it means you're already behind.

EDIT

Didn't realize this was the last issue of Morisson's run. Goodbye Batman & Robin. It's been more fun than weird.

I'm glad to see the Season closing out, but only if it ends up making sense in the end. I'm leaning more towards it probably being a cliffhanger-y lead straight into Season 9 kind of ending, kind of like the end of Angel Season 3. Resolve this conflict and another one will pop up at the end.

And it looks like a lot of us are dropping B&R this week. I'd imagine Arn might as well with it being the last Morrison issue. Anyone going to keep picking it up?

I only pick up hardcovers for one-shots that I absolutely positively MUST own. SERENITY SHEPHERDS TALE is one such thing, as was EARTH ONE SUPERMAN last week.

And I don't know I'd be behind on things. I don't really buy trades, really only trades I get are old comics newly collected (Clone Saga). If they had to be HC then I avoid them until it comes. I don't do that with actual novels and it does make me want to read less, which sucks.

No, I dropped it around issue 25. It was terrible the whole way through while I was reading it, I have a hard time thinking it got better. I think Chris is still reading it tho.

Yep, I continued getting it and have been happy with it recently. Got much better in the last year after they stopped the stupid angel crap.
