SDCC - Trailers! Trailers! Trailers!

Perhaps it's the morning after glow but they all looked great. Justice League trailer didn't look as dark and as bleak as the BvS trailer. The looming threat of evil and the still dark tone was tempered with tongue in cheek humor from the Flash, WW & Cyborg & deadpan Bruce Wayne. I absolutely loved ...

Re: The Wulfs Den

It's John Barrowman you bastards! Captain Jack Harkness of Doctor Who and Malcolm Merlyn of Arrow!

God!

Who is the redhead?

And I just noticed it but you're taller than Spartacus and Barrowman! Did you whisper into Liam Mcyntire's ear that he's just a fake and can never measure up to Whitfield?

Fucking. Told you.

Do you know of anymore British procedurals or crime dramas?

I was trying to watch Broadchurch but I was having difficulty getting into it

Re: Whitechapel (spoilers)

The series are pretty short. It's 4 seasons at 45 minutes per episode. Seasons 1 & 2 are 3 episodes each. There is another major subplot that was unresolved involving the suspects of each of their cases. I won't say more than that for fear of spoiling it. I sometimes wish Stocky was a hard bitten wo...

Whitechapel (spoilers)

I just finished watching the entire series on Amazon prime. It's a great British procedural crime drama in the vein of Luther but with a hint of Supernaturual sprinkled in it. The charectors are deeply broken and human in a way I had not seen on Luther. Most of the time on, not just a procedural, yo...

What is your opinion of Nigel Farage and his cohort Boris Johnson? Farage's address to the EU was outrageously rude *and* arrogant. He seems to be taking the Donald Trump approach to speaking to his peers.

Re: Preacher Trailer

There are no spoilers below, just my observations of the first ep. I think it's gonna be an acquired taste for me. The episode wasn't bad but it seemed to be finding its footing. The tone of the story kept changing. One minute I the dialogue I was hearing sounded authentically western and the next m...

WB names Geoff Johns & Jon Berg to head WB films

WB yanked Snyder as creative director of the film franchise and named Johns and Berg as the co-heads after BvS abymal ratings. I don't know much about Berg but I don't think Johns is a good choice either. Despite relaunching a lot of great titles in the early 00s, for the last several years, his run...

Sad to see him go. He was one of the greats.

His story, Batman: Ego remains one of my all time favorite Batman stories.

He always looked like a very warm hearted grandpa.

He will be missed.

Re: Upcoming Marvel Netflix shows

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. Netflix & Marvel have proven they can tackle a wide range of characters but I feel like The Punisher is going to prove a bit more finicky than usual. After several failed movies it seems that Marvel is finally going to do what I said all along and produce it for...

DC announces Vertigo shake up

DC is restructuring the management innards of Vertigo and as a result, long time editor Shelly Bond has been let go from the company. She took over for our beloved Karen Berger after she resigned from her position at Vertigo. DC is also reexamining the direction & focus of Vertigo. I have no clue wh...

Re: Architect working as an advisor

Congratulations on preparing to buy a home. The process of buying a home and property maintenance is not fun but, to own your own piece of earth is a great feeling...And to pay taxes on it until you die (or is that only in the US)

Congrats again
