Additionally, I have a small gold colored tie-pin shaped like a rook which I wear on my tie. It gives me that extra something that jumps out at people and impresses them. I know this because I have recieved countless compliments on my pin.

Honestly, it all depends on who you're shopping for. Most people in my office, save for the senior-level executives don't wear tie-pins or cufflinks on a regular basis. Only on special occasions. Again, know you're demographic before picking these up because they can be hella expensive.

I personally like wearing my tiepin regularly because it looks cool (Rook anyone?) and it increases my cool factor.

I think when my ex got dreads he had to keep them from getting wet in the shower for six months. After a couple years they started getting really fuzzy. I think he used some kinda wax product made to manage African-American hair that frizzed out of control.
