Losing the ear itself would impact the way you hear but the eardrum is inside and I would assume it would be left intact. It would look creepy as hell missing an ear and I'm sure the Van Gogh jokes would be endless, but I need my fingers.

And considering I 'work' from home (I actually chuckled when I wrote 'work') the pooh thing's no big deal. I'd be hesitant if I had to clean it up after myself.

Jumping line, eh? Suppose I could fake a limp, turn on a smile and make a clean (albeit limpy) getaway afterwards. ^_^

I think I would lose the ear, too.
You would still be able to hear out of that ear hole. If you wanted, I'm sure you could have a plastic item grafted onto your face that couldbe shaped like an ear and function like a lobe does i.e. as an amplifier for receiving sound.
Losing your two little fingers would be too weird.

$100,000 isn't worth losing my job so no.
I don't think I'd jump the line. Not from fear of retaliation by other fans but more from fear that the creator might dash me in public, in front of everyone.
